UNLV and Playtech unite to enhance responsible gambling through AI and machine learning innovations.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and Playtech have announced a multi-year collaboration aimed at creating a more sustainable and responsible gaming environment.

The collaboration brings together UNLV's International Gaming Institute (IGI) and Playtech to implement technologies that will promote safer gaming practices. The focus will be on using artificial intelligence and machine learning to promote responsible gaming.

Playtech has provided funding for the IGI project, which is investigating the use of AI-powered chatbots to encourage safe gambling habits among sports bettors. In addition, the company supports an internship program at the IGI Gaming Innovation Center, helping to develop future leaders in the industry.

IGI UNLV Director of Research Kasra Gaharian said, "We are excited to partner with Playtech to advance research in the area of responsible gaming."

Playtech will also be participating in the upcoming Huddle Roundtable with MGM Resorts to further discuss safe gaming practices.
