River Cree Begins $200 Million Expansion
River Cree Resort's $200M expansion adds a hotel, pool, and event space, fueling growth in Edmonton.
River Cree Resort and Casino in Alberta is set to nearly double in size with a $200 million expansion, as reported by CTV News Edmonton. The renovation will introduce a new 240-room hotel, a sparkling pool, and 40,000 square feet of event space to the Edmonton venue.
Since opening its doors in 2006 and acquiring Paragon Gaming in 2014 and Marriott Hotels in 2018, the casino is now fully owned by the Enoch Cree Nation.
Chief Cody Thomas expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its role in nurturing future generations and ensuring sustainable resources for the Nation.
Funding for the expansion will come from the casino's earnings.
