American iGaming provider PDX Slots has been granted a license to operate in Ontario, opening up new opportunities in one of Canada’s most lucrative markets.

Michigan-based iGaming provider PDX Slots has been granted permission to enter the online gambling market in Ontario. The company has been granted a license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), which will allow it to offer its solutions to regulated operators in the province.

PDX is already successfully operating in its home state, where it launched games on Rush Street Interactive’s BetRivers platform in May of this year. At the time, CEO Chris Gauzel said that after launching in Michigan, the company is targeting the Ontario and New Jersey markets.

Ontario’s online casino market is showing impressive results: from April 2023 to March 2024, the total betting volume amounted to $64 billion, and the operator revenue was $2.4 billion.

The AGCO license was another step for PDX Slots towards international expansion and strengthening its position in the iGaming sector.
