Loto-Québec Reports Double-Digit Revenue and Profit Growth from Casinos and Gaming
Loto-Québec's record revenue and profit figures leave no doubt: the province's casinos and gaming halls are impressively growing, and new projects promise even more success.
Loto-Québec reported significant revenue and profit growth last quarter, with both figures up double digits, driven in particular by the development of its casinos and gaming halls.
According to its financial report for the second quarter of 2024, the company generated revenues of $814.2 million, up 16.1% compared to the same period in 2023. Net income was $421.6 million, up 18.5% year over year.
The casino and gaming sector grew most, with revenues up 32.2% to $333.9 million. The main contributor to this growth was resolving a labour dispute that prevented the casino from operating in 2023.
Loto-Québec also confirmed plans to expand its network of gaming halls across the province, including new locations in various regions of Quebec.
