xQc Reveals $3B Gamble on Stake: A Shocking Streaming Saga

Canadian streamer xQc has claimed to have lost nearly $3 billion on the online casino platform Stake. On Monday, xQc told his fans that he risked this huge amount on the Stake gaming platform. The streamer began his career in 2016 as a professional Overwatch player, but was suspended due to numerous scandals and eventually fired from his team in 2019.

After that, he focused on streaming on Twitch, where he quickly gained immense popularity. In June 2023, Kick, created by the founders of Stake.com, paid him $100 million to move his streams to its platform. As part of the deal, xQc committed to hosting online gambling streams, which he began doing immediately after signing the contract.

Lengyel shared a screenshot of his Stake account, showing that he lost $2,954,739,443.22 on 1,138,753 bets, an average of $2,594 per bet. Losses far outnumber wins - 1,011,365 losses versus 112,015 wins.

Stake is not legal in the US, but is popular in Canada and abroad, with a license in Curacao. In the US, Stake offers a free social casino, but real money gambling is prohibited in most states.
