St. Clair’s groundbreaking esports lab offers cutting-edge facilities for global gaming talent.

In Windsor, St. Clair College launched Canada's first eSports lab based on Alienware computers from Dell Technologies. The official opening of the lab, which took place on September 19, 2024, at the Nexus Esports Arena, attracted attention from all over the world.

This innovative space, located 15,000 square feet of the college's student center, is a significant step for developing St. Clair's eSports program.

Director of eSports Sean Byrne noted that the program attracts students from countries as diverse as Germany, Great Britain, the United States and South America due to the right approach to infrastructure development. The laboratory, consisting of 110 computers, of which 62 are intended for professional players, creates opportunities for training and improving the quality of teams and broadcasts.

This project received financial support from the college administration and the St. Clair Alumni Association.
