Great Canadian's second casino sale to Snuneymuxw First Nation marks a bold step towards economic empowerment.

Great Canadian Entertainment has sold a second casino in British Columbia to the Snoneimuch First Nations. Three months after selling Casino Nanaimo, the company entered into an agreement to sell Elements Casino Victoria to Petroglyph Development Group Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Snoonimuch.

Great Canadian's board unanimously approved the deal, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval. The company will provide transition services to PDG for up to two years after the deal closes.

Great Canadian CEO Matt Anfinson said the deal would deliver "a great outcome for the community, guests, team members and the nation." Anfinson added that this sale is historic for Snoonimuch, opening a new chapter in the casino's history.

PDG CEO, Ian Simpson, said the acquisition of Elements Casino Victoria unlocks significant economic potential for Snoonimuch and PDG, helping to grow the economy and return profits to the nation.

The agreement underlines Snuneimuk's desire for self-determination and is a step towards strengthening its presence in the region's economy.
