Mkodo's new GLI certification boosts its compliance credentials and strengthens its Canadian expansion efforts.

Compliance specialist mkodo has announced that its GeoLocs platform has successfully passed an independent assessment by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). GeoLocs effectively ensures users of online gaming and betting are in permitted regions.

GLI experts verified the platform's performance across devices, operating systems, and networks, confirming it accurately determines user locations, blocks access from restricted areas, and detects attempts to bypass geolocation controls.

The assessment confirmed no geolocation risks, demonstrating the platform's robustness, according to GLI Senior Vice President Christine M. Gallo.

mkodo Director Stuart Godfrey called the evaluation a crucial step for launching new GeoLocs innovations, affirming the platform's reliability and security for regional operations.

GeoLocs has been in use in Canada for over 10 years, including integration with Playnow.com by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and as the first geolocation service in Ontario in 2021.

mkodo serves top lotteries and gaming companies, including most Canadian lottery corporations and commercial partners like White Hat Gaming, Betty, Casino Time, and Rootz. In June, mkodo joined the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) to highlight its expansion ambitions in Canada.
