J&J strengthens Nevada presence with 10-casino acquisition from Leisure Gaming.

Illinois-based J&J Venture Gaming plans to expand its presence in Nevada by acquiring 10 slot machine casinos owned by Reno-based Leisure Gaming. The transaction is expected to close on Nov. 21, subject to approval by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Leisure Gaming opened its first facility, Pilot Casino in Fernley, in 1993 and now operates ten locations along the I-80 corridor with more than 640 machines. The deal includes well-known locations such as the Winnemucca Pilot and Roadhouse, Lucky’s in Ely, and locations in Wells and Fernley.

According to J&J general counsel Jamal Goodrich, all 70 Leisure Gaming employees will be retained as part of the integration. The deal is another strategic move for J&J Gaming, further strengthening its position in the distributed gaming space.
