Great Canadian Casino Toronto: WSOP Finds New Home

The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto has become the unique luxury home of Ontario's World Series of Poker (WSOP). The reason is a new agreement between Great Canadian Entertainment and GGPoker, the owner of the WSOP, which makes GGPoker the official sponsor of the casino’s poker room in Toronto.

This unique partnership means the casino will be the only venue in the province to host WSOP tournaments, including bracelet and ring events.

The agreement also includes upgrades to the poker room, including improved televisions, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a new lounge area for players.

Michael Kim, EVP of Great Canadian Entertainment, emphasized that this collaboration elevates Toronto’s poker offering, making the casino a premier venue for high-end tournaments. Sarne Lightman of GGPoker noted how the partnership combines live and online poker, solidifying Ontario as a global poker hub.
