Canada is consolidating its position in the global iGaming industry.

For many years, Canada has remained a country where gambling is prevalent. Approximately 75% of Canadians participate in lotteries, slots, casinos, or sports betting. Online gambling has become the main driver of this growth, especially after the launch of the regulated market in Ontario. Currently, there are about 19 million active online accounts across the country. Canada is expected to reach $4.19 billion in revenue by 2024, with the lion’s share coming from online casinos.

The opening of a licensed market in Ontario allowed international operators to operate in the country legally, increasing player protection and directing a significant portion of revenue to local budgets. Other provinces are interested in the success of this approach, and Canada continues to establish itself as one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.
